Battleground Mobile India has been removed from Play store and app store in India.

Battlegrounds mobile India (BGMI) popular game by krafton has disappeared from play store and app store.

Battleground Mobile India (BGMI) was updated version of Pubg mobile after it was banned by the government of India in 2020 due to security reasons. But the Good news is Pubg new states is still available to download on both play store and app store.

According to sources aware of development , The development has come after a 16 year old boy allegedly shot his mother because she stopped him from playing online game “BGMI”. Also many cases of spending lot of cash in app purchases without parents knowing.

The issue was also raised in ongoing parliament session , where the goverment has said that it has been examining apps banned appearing with new faces but with same functionality.Rajya Sabha MP V Vijayasai Reddy has asked if IT ministry was taking action against apps like pubg,where children’s were committing crimes after they were restricted from playing the game.

A Krafton spokesperson said “We are clarifying how BGMI was removed from play store and app store we will let you know once we get specific information.”Google also confirmed that it has taken the game down from play store in India after informing Krafton. We have notified the affected developers and blocked access to the app that remained available on the play store in india-said by a google spokesperson.

This is not the first time that game has been removed from play store by government of India . Before this, they also delisted PUBG in 2020. Tencent is a Chinese company and also the distributor of this game so it hold majority stakes in Krafton and also all the servers were located in China so all the data was send from India to china , since India and China are not so close friends with increase in tension between countries , and transfer of data was raising privacy and data leak issues , so they banned PUBG In 2020.

Battleground Mobile India was launched with new face and same features , company claimed that they also have moved there server location from china to India for BGMI , since India is a big market for players so they don’t want to lose their market dominance. BGMI has around 100 million active players, that’s a lot of numbers.
