Pinterest is an amazing social media platform growing rapidly and is used by almost every social media influencer to derive traffic to their website. One of the main reasons why Pinterest is popular is because of its simple UI and ease of redirecting users by linking posts to the external URL, which means if a user is interested he/she just has to click. They will be redirected to the actual blog post.
Here is How I Grew my Pinterest Account 0-100K in 3 months
Unlike Instagram where you can insert links in certain places like Bio and Strory, Pinterest allows you to insert links directly to the post, which makes it an ideal choice for the influencers. Giving them the advantage to further monetize their audience.
How did I start?
For me, Pinterest was another social media platform like Quora and Reddit, where I could share my posts, but in the beginning, I didn’t get any results because I was just posting randomly without any clue. and I was barely getting any views just like starters.
After some time I joined a social media marketing agency to learn more about digital marketing and SEO, I learned about scheduling everything on time so I wouldn’t have to miss the daily posting.
This gives your account the benefit of boosting posts means, that interest algorithms will recognize your daily posting activity and will show it to people with similar interests, causing your posts to get more views and clicks.
I started by analyzing popular Pinterest accounts, and how they are growing, and the first thing you will notice is that they have a business account. Second, they are using a template for their posts means their posts will follow the same design patterns throughout the whole page. and the third and most important thing, they are posting regularly which means they have scheduled posts.
In the first three months, I posted every day, morning and evening, my work was to design the posts in canva and schedule them so they could be posted on time daily, as in the first two months I didn’t get many reactions, but It started to show some results after the end of second months, my total views grow over 50K monthly just in three months of posting and I started to get few clicks from there.
The journey continues to the fourth month and it went up to 100K views per month.

A few things to Keep in Mind
1. Schedule your posts so you won’t miss a day, in the beginning, it’s very important.
2. Don’t use the same redirect link in every consecutive post, you have to use one link a week means you have to use them in rotation every week, otherwise Pinterest might consider your account as spam and you might get banned from the platform.
3. Use a template that is easy to read and provides value to the user, You already know that users won’t click on your posts until they are getting something valuable there. Also, don’t try to use clickbait posts, it won’t work here.
4. If you are using Pinterest for affiliate links, you have to read their guidelines and make sure you are not redirecting users to some shady website, otherwise, your account might be blacklisted again, you can use your landing page URL to redirect users.
5. Pinterest conversion rate is pretty low so don’t expect that you will get millions of traffic to your website, you can get a decent amount.
6. Use Proper headings, tags and descriptions don’t fill the descriptions with hashtags, it feels like spam, so use proper categories, it will help the algorithm decide your target audience more accurately. Don’t use links in the descriptions.
Here are my website analytics, it’s not much because I had to stop posting because of my health issues, I couldn’t post for almost half a year but my views didn’t drop to zero, it was above 50K even when I didn’t post for that long.
